Double Dragon II - The Revenge

Description: Action Game

Now most of you are probably familiar with this game if you grew up with a Nintendo (NES) in your house. It was the sequel to the popular game Double Dragon (duh). This was quickly became popular due to the fact it allowed both players to play at the same time unlike the original Double Dragon (which allowed you to switch off when one player died or beat an area). On the Nintendo version you could actually make it so friendly-fire was on or off, allowing you to kill your friends should you feel the need to do so! (early days of PVP!)

As classic as this game is, it has a very "dated" atmosphere to the gameplay, it's fun, but it can be frustrating at times controlling your guy, avoiding bad guys while trying to kill them. This game is similar to other side-scrollers such as Golden Axe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, and Streets of Rage. The AI isn't all that great, who could expect it to be, but they game mechanics definitely help the computer punks more than they help you out.

I'd suggest getting yourself a gamepad before playing this game, the keyboard simply will not do, the keyboard controls are as followed: “W” – Up “X” – Down “A” – Left “D” – Right Spacebar or “S” - Attack. Other than dated game mechanics and poor keyboard controls, this game is totally worth playing, the storyline isn't top notch but it's sufficient enough to keep you interested while bashing baddies.
