Finally a Remake I Approve Of

Nintendo always seems to be reusing their old content and characters on every generation of gaming console since the very beginning. Just recently though, Nintendo decided to revive a corpse from the far past. The original game was released 20 years ago (1989 for those who refuse to learn Math!) You can check out A Boy and His Blob right here on Old School Apps if you've never tried it. It's a game where you play a boy (duh) with a pet blob (duhx2!). You are on a mission to help your pet Blob save his home planet. To do this you must feed your gooey friend jelly beans - but be warned, different jelly beans have different effects. You can use your blob as a trampoline, a rocket ship, an air bubble, as an umbrella, and even to create holes in the ground. After transforming your blob, you can whistle to get him to return to his original blob-like shape.

What's New on Old School Apps Vol 14

We've added some new games to our downloadable list and we are preparing to add some new sections to our website. We finally decided that Old School Apps should have more downloadable apps, and not just games. So in the upcoming weeks & months, we will be adding older applications to our website. We are taking requests now, so contact us if you have any suggestions for applications and we'll try our hardest to dig them up.

We've added 6 Maxis Games (Simulation Games) to our downloadable section. They are as followed:

I came across this today while fiddling around on the Internet, thought I'd share it. It sorta fits out theme?

Haven't seen the original? Don't understand the reference? Check out the original Dramatic Chipmunk video

Old School Apps is an abandonware apps site which offers free game downloads and old apps dating back to the MS-DOS days.

Our abandonware games collection is one of the most complete archives on the Internet. We offer game downloads from the most popular genres available: adventure games, action games, board games, education games, puzzle games, racing games, roleplaying games, simulation games, sports games, strategy games, and text based games. We've recently added an online arcade which is filled with over a hundred classic nintendo games that you can play directly from your browser. These online nintendo games use Java and vNES to emulate old games without the hassle of having to download and install third-party software.
